Inspirational Wreath

Step aside, Wreath Witherspoon. We’ve got the new wreath in town and it’s adorable. Brighten these drab winter days with a touch of summer! This DIY inspirational wreath is super affordable and is a fabulous way to display your favorite words of wisdom.

Supplies

  • Bouquet of fake flowers

  • Hot glue gun

  • Wire cutters

  • Floral wire

  • Cardstock or any form of paper

  • Scissors

  • String

Step 1: First you need to make the structure for your wreath. My floral wire wasn’t as long as I wanted, so I doubled up and connected the two with floral tape. The loop at the top makes it very easy to hang!

Step 2: Once you have your base, it’s time to cut all the flowers and arrange them in a way you love! TIP: don’t always cut all the stems very short. You’ll want there to be enough stem to work with when gluing.

Step 3: Hot glue away! Be sure to reinforce the flowers as well. In other words, use lots and lots of glue!

Step 4: Pick a quote! Anything that will inspire you everyday, something that makes you laugh, or even your monogram! We stuck with what we know (Style Substance Spirit) and it turned out great! TIP: Be sure to use a thicker paper. You don’t want it to end up curling later! We used a nice gold cardstock!

Step 5: After you’ve cut your letters, time to attach the string! Here is how we attached it using hot glue. TIP: Glue on the letters after you glue on the strings. This way you can place them so they’re not blocked by flowers or leaves.

And you’re done! This DIY takes some time and patience, but gorgeous results! Happy hot gluing!!
