Slay it, Don't Say It
Good New Year to you all.
Now I realize the New Year hoopla has already passed and that most people are getting used to writing -15 instead of -14 but I still feel the need to put my 7 dollars in. (I would say 2 cents but with inflation I think that'd be a little stingy.)
Every year my father comes up with a new slogan for the year. He's done this ever since we started celebrating the holidays together, and being my dad he's probably done it since he was a wee old korean boy living on staten island. Since me and all my siblings are currently living in different states, this year's slogan was delivered via email including attachments to inspirational photos and websites urging you to live the best life you can.
You're wondering what our slogan is, I'm sure. As much as I know you would love it, I must keep it a family secret. Remember, it's the simple things, people.
In the words of world renowned lyricist Ke$ha, I would still like to throw some glitter; make it rain. I have a motto for 2015 that I am willing to share. Without further adieu, my 2015 slogan:
Another day, another slay.
You're welcome. Take these words of wisdom and interpret them in any way you wish, (so long as any actions you take do not harm the physical or mental being of others.)
Making 2015 the best year ever is a stupid goal. You'll never achieve that. If you make 2015 the BEST year, you'll have absolutely nothing to look forward to because everything else will just be "ehh" in comparison. Don't do that to 2016. And once 2017 hears what you said about 2015 behind their back, you'll have a slew of punishment then. I'm talking Jury Duty every 3 months. OUCH.
